Two Killed in Barrow County Crash
One of the deceased was driving a Dodge Charger in the wrong lane of Hwy. 316, authorities say.

WINDER, GA — Two people are dead after an early-morning crash on Hwy. 316 in Barrow County this weekend.
Barrow County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene of the crash to find both of the cars involved engulfed in flames, the sheriff's office said Monday.
Aileen Fisk, 39, of Monroe, and Anthony Hawkins, 21, of Bethlehem, were declared dead at the scene.

The crash happened between Hwy. 81 and Carl-Bethlehem Road at about 2:35 a.m. Saturday.
According to the sheriff's office, Fisk was driving a Dodge Charger westbound in one of the highway's eastbound lanes when she struck Hawkins' Nissan Rogue head-on.

Both drivers were the only occupants of their vehicles.
Hwy. 316 was shut down until about 5 a.m. in the aftermath of the wreck.
The crash remained under investigation on Monday and more details were expected to be released later, the sheriff's office said.
