The complainant said her alleged assailant began "talking crazy" prior to the assault.

A Winder resident told police she was helping a friend move when that so-called friend punched her in the face.Â
The alleged incident occurred about 1:15 p.m. July 31. When the complainant met with an officer from the Winder Police Department she was holding a bloody tissue and said she had been punched twice. The officer observed her left eye and nose were swollen and she had scratches on her neck and arms.Â
When the officer attempted to ascertain what caused the argument lead to the alleged assault, the complainant said her friend began "talking crazy," at which point the complainant got out of the car, slammed the door and walked away. The assailant reportedly ran after the victim and began throwing punches. The complainant said she did not fight back but instead returned home and called 911.Â
Warrants were to be taken out for the alleged assailant for a misdemeanor charge of battery.Â
