Rick Warren owns some 150 run-down homes in the English Avenue area near the Beltline and the new Atlanta Falcons stadium. Instead of renovating the properties, Warren has by and large let the homes go to seed, an Atlanta Journal-Constitution investigative report claimed.
Warren was in court on Monday morning asking a judge for a continuance so he could find an attorney specializing in criminal matters, as Warren faces the possibility of jail time for citations on nine properties in the English Avenue area, the AJC said. He was represented on Monday by a civil attorney who was only counseling Warren on one of the properties in question.
