In Case You Missed It: Squatters Cleared From Buckhead Home

The house on Lenox Road was demolished on Wednesday.

ATLANTA, GA -- A long-neglected house on Lenox Road was demolished Wednesday to make room for a multimillion-dollar town home, but not before the property had to be cleared of squatters.

The house was purchased last year for about $850,000 by developer Mike Ledford, reports Channel 2 Action News. But since then, a number of alleged squatters had taken up residence, and Ledford went in with Atlanta police to make sure no one was living there.

Several neighbors complained about the squatters, and one resident requested that bus routes be changed so kids wouldn’t have to go near the house.
