Massell Honored by Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors
Former Atlanta Mayor Sam Massell was honored for his 25-year commercial real estate career.

Atlanta’s Commercial Board of Realtors at its Annual Business Meeting on Thursday singled out former realtor Sam Massell for its Henry Hill Robinson Award.
Massell, who now serves as president of the Buckhead Coalition, was very active in commercial real estate for 20 years, prior to going full-time into the Atlanta political arena, including four years as mayor of Atlanta.
As vice president of Allan-Grayson Realty Company, Massell was a charter member of the Real Estate Board’s Million-Dollar Club and a three-time recipient of the Alvin B. Cates Trophy for the outstanding deal of the year.

The Robinson Award is for Massell's "outstanding leadership and tremendous contributions to the improvement of the City in general, as well as to the real estate industry in Atlanta.”
As the recipient of this honor, Massell pointed out his history in related business has often credited “developers with great achievements in brick-and-mortar, but such construction normally needs the attention of the commercial Realtor to bring the deal to profit status.”
