South Buckhead Office Tower Sold, Renovation Expected

A metro-area real estate investor has bought a long-standing south Buckhead office tower in hopes of renovating the building and attracting high-end tenants to the property.

1776 Peachtree, once home to Gregory’s Snack Bar and the Coach and Six restaurant, was bought by TPA Group LLC for an undisclosed sum, Skyline Views reports. The seller, HighBrook Investment Management, bought the building for just over $11 million in 2014, Atlanta Business Chronicle Reports.

Brad Smith, the man behind TPA Group, is looking to extensively renovate the building in an effort to drive up rental rates to the upper $20s per square foot. The seven-story tower has 214,000 sq. ft. of office space, Skyline Views reports.
