Tyler Perry Sells Atlanta Home for Whopping Price

The sale is the most expensive real estate transaction in Atlanta history.

ATLANTA, GA -- Tyler Perry's Buckhead mansion is officially off the market. The compound and its 17 surrounding acres were sold last week for $17.5 million, the largest residential real estate transaction in Atlanta history.

The home is located at 4110 Paces Ferry Road, and features 34,688 square feet. It closed this past Friday, reports the MDJ Online, and with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty handling the deal.

The buyer's name hasn't been disclosed. The previous record was a Buckhead estate that sold for $10.5 million in 2009.

The property originally went on the market for $25 million.

The home has a pool, gym, screening room, spa, gardens, underground ballroom, guard house, hobby house, parking deck and a lighted tennis court.

It also has its own backup generator, as well as a security and guard house.
