Built in 1924, the historic Buckhead estate is on the market for $7.7 million.

ATLANTA, GA -- Atlanta's "Great Gatsby" house is on the market for $7.7 million.
Ben Hirsh of Hirsh Real Estate is the exclusive listing agent for Villa Juanita at 509 West Paces Ferry Road, a historic property neighboring the governor's mansion.
Built in 1924 by the Whitehead family, who had made their fortune by obtaining an exclusive contract to bottle and sell Coca-Cola in 1889, the property is surrounded by 10-foot walls. The home itself spreads out over 10,000 square feet over 7.3 acres. With four bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half bathrooms, Villa Juanita was home to many of the family's roaring 20s parties and events.

"Villa Juanita has served as a majestic setting throughout history, from affairs typical of the Roaring 20’s, like supper dances and galas, to most recently Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Decorator showhouse and brilliant house parties," according to the listing on Buckhead.com. "Atlanta’s “Great Gatsby” house has seen many distinguished visitors from former New York Mayor Jimmy Walker, the “First Lady of American Theater,” Ethel Barrymore, Jane Fonda and more."
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the estate's most recent owner is Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt, who purchased the property in 2000 for $5.35 million.
