Back to School: Immunizations, Health Screenings Available in Buford

Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale County Health Departments' locations in Buford, Lawrenceville and Norcross provide back-to-school health screenings.

Children are headed back to school soon, and immunizations are required.

Where: Services provided by Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale County Health Departments. In Gwinnett County, locations are in Buford, Lawrenceville and Norcross.

When: Hours vary per center, but all patients should arrive at the latest one hour before closing.

Screening costs: Hearing, $15; Vision, $15; and Dental, $10 ($40 total)

Payments: Cash and credit cards accepted (not American Express and no checks)

Insurance Plans: Medicaid, Peachcare, Aetna, Cigna State Health Plan, United Healthcare State Plan and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Additional Info:

Hearing, vision and dental screenings: Letters from healthcare professionals and out-of-state certificates are acceptable, if completed within the past 12 months. Must be stapled to the Georgia state form.
