Billie Ray Vann, age 72 of Douglasville, passed away, Monday, October 27, 2014. He was born, April 4, 1942 in Upson Co., GA to the late Edgar Vann and Lola Bullock Vann. He was married for 48 years to his loving wife, Irene Vann. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, graduated from Buford High School, attended the University of South Carolina and Dekalb College. He was the owner and CEO of Vann Janitorial Services, Inc., a Mason and a member of First Baptist Church of Douglasville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edgar Wedrell Vann.

Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Bette Irene Davis Vann; daughter and son-in-law: Kellie Vann Burgess and Michael Scott Burgess; grandchildren: Billie Burgess and Archie Burgess; nephew: Dr. David Vann; niece: Dana and spouse, Stacey Crain; great nephews: Zachary Vann, Davison Vann and John Matthew Vann; great nieces: Emily Crain, Haley Crain, Lindsey and Matt Bartgis.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Dr. John Pennington officiating. Entombment will follow in the Rosehaven Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 4-9 pm at the funeral home and prior to the service on Thursday.
