“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family,” the statement reads. “She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
Brown’s medical condition stemmed from an incident in which she was discovered unresponsive inside a bathtub the morning of Jan. 31 at her home on Riverbend Manor in Roswell, Ga.
Police and fire crews took over life-saving measures once they arrived on the scene, and Brown was transported to North Fulton Hospital for treatment.
She was later moved from North Fulton to Emory Hospital and then to a rehabilitation center. Her condition remained unchanged during the spring and summer months, grandmother Cissy Houston reportedly told ET.
In May, Bobby Brown was granted co-guardianship of his daughter, which he shared with the late Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston, ABC News reported.
Boyfriend Nick Gordon, who allegedly was not allowed to see Brown, released a statement in May, pleading with the family to let him see her.
A lawsuit filed last month by Brown’s legally appointed conservator alleges Gordon was physically abusive, attempted to control her finances and took money from her while she was hospitalized, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Roswell police continue to probe the incident, and said the case remains active. The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office is also investigating the case.
