Defending state champion Buford High School is No. 1 in Class 3A in the first state high school football rankings released by Georgia High School Football Daily (ghsfdaily.com).
The rankings are compiled in conjunction with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The Buford Wolves host Elbert County Aug. 30 for its season opener.
