Buford Masons Build Trailhead

Buford Masonic Lodge 292 constructs trailhead at Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center

Members of Buford Masonic Lodge #292 gathered their tools to begin construction of a new trailhead at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center on Saturday 22 July. The pathway connects other scenic trails to the Ivy Creek Greenway and newly constructed restroom facilities - a much needed relief point along the wooded trail. Buford Masons donate their time and talents on a variety of philanthropic projects in support of Gwinnett County. "It is our responsibility to help improve our community and actively give back as much as we can," said Dr. Lee Pope, DVM, who organized the event.

Buford Masons also support area high schools through their scholarship program for graduating seniors, and host an annual 5k race through Buford. The "Skedaddle 4 Scholarships" race is an ATC certified Peachtree Road Race qualifier. This year the race will take place on Saturday 7 October. Race information is available at http://skedaddle4scholarships....
