Atlanta-Area Preschools Partner with Local Charity to Help Children in Need

Over 16,000 books were donated to Children Read charity from 25 Goddard Schools in the Atlanta area including the school located in Sugar Hill which collected a total of 1,624 books.

As part of the month-long collection, preschoolers enjoyed a variety of activities including a special visit from Atlanta Falcon’s mascot, Freddy the Falcon. Freddy spent time with the children to help promote and kick start the book drive at the school.

“I wish the parents and children at Goddard could see the joy on the children’s faces when they take home a bag of books,” explains Marlene Zeiler, Founder of Children Read Atlanta. “For many, these are their first books they ever owned.”
