Couple Steals Wallet From Woman Dining At Restaurant: Police
A woman had her wallet stolen by a couple sitting next to her at a restaurant, according to police.

BUFORD, GA – The Gwinnett County Police Department needs the public’s help in identifying the couple responsible for a recent theft at the La Madeleine restaurant at 1795 Mall of Georgia, Jan. 22.
A woman dining placed her purse on the floor next to her seat.
Another couple sat near them. The man was seated directly behind the victim with his torso turned towards her. The woman with the man was overheard saying,“She saw you. She saw you.” The server noticed the suspicious behavior of the couple and notified her supervisor. By the time they went back to confront the couple, they left the restaurant.

The victim then noticed that her wallet was missing from inside her purse.

The supervisor went outside and retrieved the license plate and vehicle description that the couple were in. The license plate was registered to a man who no longer owned the vehicle. It was listed as a junk vehicle several years prior and not approved for roadway use.
