A driver mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, which sent her vehicle into a Buford restaurant.

BUFORD, GA — Crews are assessing the damage done to a Buford restaurant after a driver accidentally plowed into the building Wednesday afternoon. Gwinnett County Police say one person suffered minor injuries in the crash, which happened just after 4 p.m. at Rico’s World Kitchen, 306 West Main Street in downtown Buford.

According to the accident report, a woman in her mid-60s mistakenly thought she was pressing her brake but stepped on the gas pedal instead, which sent her Mazda Millenia through the restaurant.
