Gwinnett Choral Guild to Hold Christmas Concert

The Gwinnett Choral Guild, along with guest ensemble, The Dacula HS Gold Women’s Chorus, will hold its annual Christmas concert, on Saturday, December 1^st, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Buford Presbyterian Church, 1242 Buford Hwy., Sugar Hill, Ga.  The community is invited to celebrate the holidays with this song-filled evening of tradition conducted by James Williams, Artistic Director. This year’s theme, Christmas by Candlelight, is comprised of a treasury of choral music that includes:  Javier Busto’s Ave Maria, O Magnum Mysterium, This Christmastide, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, The Many Moods of Christmas, The Christmas Song, So Blest a Sight, Variations on ‘Jingle Bells’ and A Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas.  General admission is $15 and $10 for seniors.  Tickets are available online at www.gwinnettchoralguild.org or at the door.    

Established in 1983, the Gwinnett Choral Guild is a volunteer community choir based in Gwinnet County.  Its members are singers from all walks of life and are bonded by a love for choral music.  The 501(c)3 non-profit organization is a member of ArtWorks Gwinnett, Chorus America, The Metropolitan Atlanta Arts and Culture Coalition, and the Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts.
