Ga. Company Jokes Scott Walker Stole Our Logo

America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses, which is based in Gwinnett, says the presidential hopeful's campaign logo looks very familiar.

With tongue in cheek, a Gwinnett County-based national eye glass company is poking fun at Republican presidential hopeful Scott Walker’s choice for his campaign logo.

America’s Best Contacts and Eyeglasses, which is based in Duluth, says Walker “borrowed” its company logo.

The Wisconsin governor, who announced his candidacy Monday, unveiled his logo on Instagram over several days leading up to his announcement. In the logo, the “e” of his name is set off as a red, white and blue graphic resembling a U.S. flag.

It’s almost an exact match of the company’s logo, which features a very similar graphic for the “e” in the word “America’s.” (See examples below; can you tell which is which?)

America’s Best, which has 400 stores nationally, including 24 stores in Georgia, has been having fun at Walker’s expense, calling the snafu #logogate, and sharing pun-heavy posts on Twitter.





Walker has not yet commented on the logo.
