Mall Of Georgia Announces New, State-Of-The-Art Play Area Opening

BUFORD, GA-- A reimagined, interactive play area will open soon for guests at Mall of Georgia.

“As a community destination for families across the region, it’s important that Mall of Georgia continues to evolve by developing a new, progressive area for children to create special memories,” said John DiCioccio, general manager for Mall of Georgia. “Whether guests need a break from a busy day of shopping or visit specifically to explore the Play Area, our hope is that children will enjoy a fun, interactive experience while discovering new ideas and exercising their creativity.”

The play area will be composed of three different zones designed specifically for three distinct age groups – toddlers, ages 2-5 and ages 5-8. Children will be immersed in a multi-sensory experience with interactive technology, educational elements and active play by using their imaginations to create their own adventures. Features include a crawl path with LED lights, a
cozy cocoon nook for kids to escape the area when overstimulated, a jungle walk with moving pods creating a walkway that practices balance, spring-loaded mushrooms for bouncing fun and more!

Parents will also enjoy enhanced amenities such as charging stations and soft seating.

Currently located in Von Maur Court, the new play area will triple in size at 4,000 square feet and will sport a vibrant, colorful palette.

Mall of Georgia’s existing indoor play area will be closed during the renovation and is expected to re-open this July. Children can also enjoy an outdoor play experience at The Park, which opened last year after the center’s renovations to The Village.
