Miguel Angel Jimenez to Defend Greater Gwinnett Championship Title
2014 Charles Schwab Cup Champion Bernhard Langer returns to TPC Sugarloaf.

Miguel Ángel Jiménez will defend his title this April at the third-annual Greater Gwinnett Championship Presented by Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, an official event on the PGA TOUR’s Champions Tour.
Jiménez won the 2014 tournament with a final-round 67, finishing two strokes ahead of 2013 champion Bernhard Langer, who will also join the 2015 field.
“It’s going to be great returning to defend the Greater Gwinnett Championship as I have special memories of this event,” said Jiménez. “It was the first tournament I played on the Champions Tour and my immediate impression was how friendly and welcoming all the players were to me. And of course, to secure the victory made it a really great week!”

Jiménez went on to say, “I would love to be in the mix on Sunday again, but all the guys on the Champions Tour are great players, so it’s always going to be tough, but I’ll do my best and I look forward to seeing everyone at TPC Sugarloaf.”
After a fourth-place finish in the 2014 Masters, Jiménez became the second straight player to win in his debut on the Champions Tour. Jiménez began this year’s Champions Tour season with a win at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai, another edge over Langer as defending tournament champion.

Other notable players in the field include Champions Tour Rookie of the Year and Duluth, Ga. resident Scott Dunlap; PGA Championship winners Mark Brooks, Jeff Sluman, Hal Sutton and Bob Tway; US Open champions Corey Pavin and Scott Simpson; Masters champions Sandy Lyle and Larry Mize; and Charles Schwab Cup winner Jay Haas.
The 2015 Greater Gwinnett Championship will take place April 13-19. The 54-hole stroke play tournament will feature 81 Champions Tour professionals competing for a $1.8 million purse. Tickets are available at GreaterGwinnettChampionship.com.
