U. S. Marshal Patrick Thomas Carothers, age 53, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Parker Carothers. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Terry Lynn Comer Carothers, Flowery Branch, GA; children, Lt. Michael Patrick and Brittany Carothers, St. Johns, FL, Ens. Matthew Thomas Carothers, Midn. James Paul Carothers, Jessica Carothers, Conner Boots Carothers; father, James H. Carothers, Juneau, AK; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Bonnie Carothers, LA, Danny and Wendy Carothers, AK, Paul Carothers, VA and Brian Carothers, MN; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Durwood and Nora Belle Comer, Rileyville, VA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glenn Russell and Linda Comer, IN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Carothers was born at Camp Lejeune, NC. He was a 1982 graduate of Luray High School in Luray, VA and a 1986 graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology.

He was employed with the U. S. Marshals Service and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a member of the Buford Church of God in Buford, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at The Long Forum of Greater Atlanta Christian School, 1575 Indian Trail Road, Norcross, GA 30093 with Pastor Joey Grizzle officiating.

Interment will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray, VA.

The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
