Upcoming Holidays, Early-Release Days for Gwinnett County, Buford Students

Students will be released early on Aug. 30.

In the month of September, several pre-determined vacation and early-release days will affect students and teachers in Gwinnett County.

Parents and guardians should plan accordingly.

For Gwinnett County Public Schools:

  • September 1: Labor Day holiday (All schools and district offices will be closed.)
  • September 25, 26: Early-release days (All elementary and middle schools will release early for parent-teacher conferences. Schools will release 2.5 hours early.)

For Buford City Schools:
  • August 30: Early-release day (Students are released at 11 a.m. for professional development time for teachers.)
  • September 1: Labor Day holiday (All schools and district offices will be closed.)
  • September 27: Early-release day (All schools will release at 11 a.m. for Buford High School homecoming.)
