Sheriff Issues Rabies Alert Around Cumming

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office was urging pet owners and others to beware Friday after a case of rabies was confirmed in Cumming. A stray cat was picked up in the area of Highway 9 and McFarland Parkway. It was taken to a veterinarian's office, where it was confirmed to have rabies. >>> Read more.

A 15 year old was sentenced to life in prison Thursday for the shooting death of a pizza delivery driver in Lawrenceville. Reginald Lofton, who was 14 at the time of the March 1 shooting, was convicted by a jury last month on two counts of felony murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault. >>> Read more.
