13-Month-Old Dies From Stabbing In Canton, Woman Injured

The Canton Police Department is investigating the fatal stabbing of a 13-month-old girl, which also left a 20-year-old woman injured.

CANTON, GA — A young child has died and a woman is in serious condition after Canton Police said they were stabbed on Tuesday.

The Canton Police Department is investigating a stabbing that led to the death of a 13-month-old female and caused life-threatening injuries to a 20-year-old female. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at a home in the 200 block of Mountain Vista Boulevard in the Mountain View subdivision.

Canton officers were called to the home and found the injured people in a bedroom with stab wounds. The child was transported to Northside Hospital Cherokee, where she died from her injuries. Chloe Alexis Driver, 20, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital and is listed in serious condition.

Canton detectives are working the investigation and interviewing multiple people. Detectives have not made any arrests, and do not believe the community is at risk.

The name of the child is being withheld until death notifications have been made.
