Ball Ground Historical Society Continues Lecture On Mining In Cherokee
The next meeting of the Ball Ground Historical Society will be held on Tuesday, July 25.

From Ball Ground Historical Society: The next meeting of the Ball Ground Historical Society will be held on Tuesday, July 25th at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at Ball Ground City Hall, located at 215 Valley Street in Ball Ground.
The July meeting will be a continuation of June’s topic, presented by Annabelle Ballew and Sammy Rainey, which was delivered to a packed house including local miners, for this absorbing and in depth presentation of the history of mining in North Cherokee County. Photos and artifacts from mining were on display; the speaker is extremely well versed on the topic and was able to answer many questions from the audience at the conclusion of the first presentation. We expect an equally fascinating experience at the concluding presentation this month, and hope many will mark their calendars and join us.
