Canton Farmers Market Kicks Off Saturday
Dozens of vendors will be on hand to usher in the 2016 season.

CANTON, GA -- Starting Saturday, residents in and around Canton will be able to purchase fresh produce directly from Georgia vendors in the city's central business district.
That's because the Canton Farmers Market will sweep into town. The 2016 season starts May 28 and run each Saturday through Oct. 29. Market hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the market will set up shop at Cannon Park near the gazebo.
Fifty-one vendors will be on hand for the inaugural session of 2016, some of which include Great Scott Fresh Farms, Whim-Wham Art Farm, Mountain Breeze Honey, Herbie's Grilling Seasonings, Drebbieville Hives, Tom's Awesome Seafood, Night Song Native Plant Nursery and Dickey Peaches.

Canton's market will feature vendors selling items such as farm-fresh produce and baked goods, handmade soaps, chocolate, fresh garden flowers, herbs, shrubs and other goodies.
The Canton Main Street Program is now accepting vendor applications for the 2016 season. Those applications, which include details on what the program accepts, can be downloaded here.
