“People love heading out of the city and into Canton, the gateway of the Blue Ridge Mountains to enjoy the spring weather and admire beautiful paintings, jewelry, pottery, woodwork, glass, sculptures and textiles by local artists,” said Mary Martin Akers, executive director of the Cherokee Arts Center.
Fine art will be displayed in the Artist's Market, the centerpiece of Canton Festival of the Arts. Artisans and crafters will display their finest homemade jams and jellies as well as handcrafted soaps, lotions, and accessories for children and pets plus other fine crafts in the festival Maker’s Market. Artists and artisans are invited to demonstrate their craft live on site.
