Cherokee Animal Shelter Asks For Help Getting Cats Adopted

The Cherokee County Animal Shelter posted online Tuesday morning they are running out of space and have 40 cats that need to get adopted.

CANTON, GA — The Cherokee County Animal Shelter is offering a great deal for anyone looking to add a new furry member to the family.

The group posted on its Facebook page Tuesday morning that they are running out of room for their cats and have more than 40 available for adoption as of Tuesday.

"We need you to spread the word about the benefits of adopting a cat," the shelter wrote. "Please let folks know that all of our adult cats are free to adopt and come with all the bells and whistles that our other adoptables do. That's anyone 6 months old or older."

Adoptions include: Initial Vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, dewormed, flea/tick treatment, heartworm or FELV/FIV testing, free sample bag of food and other services.

The Cherokee Animal Shelter is at 1015 Univeter Road in Canton. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 770-345-7270.
