Cherokee Charter Academy Students Draw Recognition at Middle School Art Show

Canton, GA-Each year Cherokee County hosts an art show to show off the dynamic, artistic talents of its middle school students. Several students from Cherokee Charter Academy were fortunate enough to have their works chosen to be included in the show.
Mrs. Jones, Middle School Arts Teacher spearheaded the movement of students submitting their works to be selected. “It is always a fabulous thing when students can have their artwork recognized outside of school, especially in a gallery among all the other students in the county!”

One of the members of the art council, who judged the show told Mrs. Jones that, “This was the most difficult time deciding who should win because the quality of work from the CCA students was so incredible!” Mrs. Jones indicated a feeling of warmth by hearing that because she expressed how, “I have never had them get that type of compliment before.”

One of the most adorned pieces of art work in the show were the 7th grade Eye Self Portraits. Many parents and other patrons were amazed at the detail, bolding, and shading those portraits contained.
