Farmers Market Brings Fresh Produce, Handmade Treasures To Canton

The Canton Farmers Market will return on Saturday to the historic downtown loop.

Opening day for the market’s seventh season will be May 23, bringing locally grown and handmade products for residents to enjoy.

The market will run each Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon at Cannon Park through October 2015.

The 2015 inaugural market session will feature a variety of vendors. Additionally, Barnyard Friends will be on hand for the kids to enjoy and Cup Up Coffee will offer fresh, roasted cups of Joe, the city of Canton said on its Facebook page.

For those who would like to eat before hitting up the market, there’s no need to make an additional stop before venturing into the downtown loop.

Angelfire7 BBQ has created a sandwich just for the market, the city said. They will be at the market from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. with their Texas Toast, egg, cheese and signature BBQ bacon sandwich ready for shoppers to devour.
