Forsyth Woman Dies After Car Collides With Two Tractor Trailers
Cherokee Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a three vehicle accident at 3 p.m. on Wednesday on Cumming Highway near County Line Road.
CANTON, GA — A Forsyth County woman has died following a collision between her car and a tractor trailer in Canton.
Cherokee Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a three vehicle accident at 3 p.m. on Wednesday on Cumming Highway near County Line Road.
The driver of a Ford Ranger was stopped in the roadway waiting to turn left into a driveway when a tractor trailer traveling eastbound struck the Ranger from behind. The collision pushed the Ranger into the westbound lanes where it was struck by another tractor trailer traveling the opposite direction.

Susan Kay Chambers, 61, of Cumming, who was driving the Ranger, was ejected from her vehicle and died at the scene. There were no passengers in her vehicle.
The driver of the tractor trailer that initially struck Chambers' Ford Ranger from behind is Andrew James Wright, 45, of Guntersville, Alabama. That collision pushed the Ranger into the westbound lanes of Cumming Highway where the truck was struck by another tractor trailer driven by William Gomez, 50, of Tampa. The drivers of the tractor trailers were not injured.

No charges have been filed at this time. The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the accident.
