CANTON, GA — A funeral service will be held on Saturday for the Canton resident who died early Wednesday in a three-car crash on Interstate 575 in Cherokee County. Friends and family will say goodbye to Robert Allan Stone, 22, at 10 a.m. Aug. 4 at Darby Funeral Home, according to his obituary.
Stone died in an accident reported to 9-1-1 dispatchers around 12:36 a.m. Aug. 1 on the northbound side of the interstate near Ga. 140/Hickory Flat Highway in Canton.
Investigators with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Unit, which also responded to the collision, determined a vehicle driven by Stone was traveling northbound when he lost control, rolled over and came to a rest in the middle of the highway, the agency previously told Patch.
