Funeral On Thursday For Woman Killed In Cherokee Crash

Jenifer Allgood died Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash on Ga. 140 near Greeley Drive.

CANTON, GA -- Funeral services will be held Thursday for the woman who died earlier this week in a fatal crash near the Cherokee-Bartow county border. Jenifer Allgood will be laid to rest at 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper.

Allgood died Tuesday, Nov. 7 when the silver Dodge Durango she was driving left the roadway and collided with a tree, the Cherokee Sheriff's Office previously told Patch. The agency said the vehicle was traveling southbound on Ga. 140/Reinhardt College Parkway near Greeley Drive when the accident occurred. The Fairmount resident was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

According to her obituary, the family received friends Wednesday and will continue to accept visitors from 8 a.m. Nov. 9 until the hour of the service.

Allgood is survived by her husband, Alex Allgood of Fairmount; mother, Angela Troglin of Fairmount; father, Johnny Troglin of Douglasville; son, Brayden Murray of Fairmount; daughters, Kylie Hawkins, Kaydance Troglin and Kamille Murray, all of Fairmount; brother, Nicholas Troglin of Jasper; grandparents, Gene and Sharon Troglin of Jasper, Lonzo Ellis of Cleveland and Lois Sweat of Douglasville. She's also survived by nephew, Tanner Troglin of Jasper.

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office's Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
