Funeral On Tuesday For Mom Killed In Wreck
Kirsten Robertson of Ball Ground died Wednesday morning in an accident in Cherokee County.

BALL GROUND, GA — The funeral service for the Ball Ground mother who died last week from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash will be held Tuesday in Pickens County. Kirsten Robertson's funeral will be held 2 p.m. April 3 at the Cagle Funeral Home Chapel, her obituary states.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, April 2 and 8 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday. Robertson, along with her husband, Dylan, and their 1-year-old daughter, were traveling northbound around 6:18 a.m. March 28 on Ball Ground Highway near Jordan Road when it was hit by a truck driven by Joseph Handel of Jasper.
Handel was traveling southbound on Ball Ground Highway when he tried to turn left onto Jordan Road, the Cherokee Sheriff's Office previously told Patch. He was not injured in the accident.

Kirsten Robertson, a daycare teacher at Jasper-based Harmony Academy Learning Center, died from injuries sustained in the collision. Dylan Robertson sustained minor injuries while the little girl was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.

According to Robertson's obituary, she is is survived by her husband; daughter, Kadie Robertson; father and stepmother, Jamie and Kelly Ray of Ball Ground; mother and stepfather, Melissia and Kenny Weaver of Talking Rock; brothers, Cody Ray of Ball Ground and Cole Ray of Talking Rock; stepbrothers, Hunter Weaver of Talking Rock, Christopher Patterson of Jasper and Jacob Weaver of Jasper; stepsisters, Hannah Weaver of Cleveland, Shelby Downs of Ball Ground and Jillian Tucker of Rydal; grandparents, Jimmy and Norma Ray of Tate and Addline Hart of Jasper; great-grandparents, Emory Ray of Tate and Clair Cochran of Dawsonville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Burial will be held at Talking Rock Baptist Church Cemetery after the funeral, and Robertson's family is accepting flowers or donations to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
