Funeral On Wednesday For Man Killed In Crash
Dylan Bohannon, 23, died early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on Ga. 108 near Waleska.

WALESKA, GA — Funeral arrangements have been made for the Cherokee County resident who was killed early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash near Waleska. The service for Dylan Michael Bohannon, 23, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Sosebee Funeral Home.
According to Bohannon's obituary, his family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be held at the Old Macedonia Cemetery.
Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the single-vehicle accident around 1:30 a.m. Oct. 6 on S.R. 108 just west of Waleska. A preliminary investigation shows a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Bohannon left the road and struck a tree, said sheriff's office spokesperson Jay Baker.

Baker said Bohannon was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. There were no passengers inside the pickup truck. According to his obituary, Bohannon worked in construction and was a member of McHelen Baptist Church.
"He loved working on trucks and with horses," the obit goes on to state.

A fundraising campaign has been created to help pay for funeral expenses related to Bohannon's unexpected passing.
"During this difficult time, I took it upon myself to help our father pay for the funeral expenses," said Jillian Bohannon, Dylan's sister. "This is going to be a huge undertaking and is a life altering tragedy. Dylan was a unique and caring person. He loved his family and working outdoors. He was funny in his own way, and extremely hardworking. He never met a horse, or any animal really, that he didn't like."
Bohannon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Brenda and Don Cook and Jim Bohannon; great-grandparents, Hoyt and Hazel Housley. He is survived by parents, Joe (Joanne) Bohannon and Cathi (Ed) Griffith; daughter, Dilynn Bohannon; siblings, Jillian Bohannon, Kristen Bohannon, Jay Kelcourse, Jacob Kelcourse, Savannah Stewart and Tryniti Parker; grandparents, Effie Jo Bohannon and Johnny and Tinnie Underwood; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
