GEORGIA — 'Tis the season to get spooked and scared — and there's no shortage of haunted attractions around metro Atlanta. Here's a look at some of the spookiest sites to scare up a terrifying good time for Halloween 2019.

  • Netherworld
    • 2076 West Park Place Blvd, Stone Mountain, GA 30087

    • There are two haunts in 2019 – NIGHT OF THE GORGON and COLD BLOODED
    • Tickets vary from general admission, timed ticket, speed pass. Prices range from $20-$60.
    • Open through Nov. 9
    • NETHERWORLD Haunted House, Atlanta's Ultimate Haunted House, is not only one of the scariest haunted houses in Georgia and the Southeast, but has been one of the top haunted houses in the nation since 1997. Created by film and television professionals, NETHERWORLD is also notable for its custom movie quality special effects, actors, unique themes, and detailed sets.
  • Gates of Misery

    • $20 per person, group rates available
    • Open every Friday and Saturday night through Nov. 2, as well as Halloween night October 31.
    • The 12,000 square foot walk through haunted house is filled with torture, torment, terrifying screams and nightmares you're afraid to face in a dark atmosphere filled with live actors, special effects, props and more in an 100-year-old 2-story building.
  • 13 Stories Haunted House
    • 320 Temple Avenue West, Newnan, GA 30263

    • Tickets range, starting around $25
    • Runs on weekends through Nov. 2
    • All the haunted houses are now "extreme" haunts. You must sign a waiver to enter. If you want to minimize the "extreme" you will need to purchase a Chicken Ticket. Along with the new and improved 13 Stories Haunted House they have built a new attraction: Clown Haus returns. Clown Haus is a horror themed carnival-esque attraction populated by nasty, scary clowns and lit with fluorescent lighting. It has the feel of an old time circus / carnival that has been taken over by evil clowns who run amok doing bad things and generally being scary.

    • Open weekends through Halloween
    • If you’re in for a thrill, check out one of the top rated actor-based, Haunted Attractions in Georgia, Fear the Woods. The chilling attraction offers three different haunting experiences: The Haunted House, a place where all your psychological fears are revealed; The ANNIHILATOR, a thrill ride like no other; The Haunted Trail, where you attempt to survive the Woods, Mine shaft, and Skinner family; and lastly, Pandemic, a Zombie Interactive Combat Zone where your skills determine your fate.
  • Paranoia

    • Features Hexed and Quarantine haunted houses.
  • Folklore

    • Open mostly on weekends through Nov. 2
    • Tickets: General admission Sun-Fri $27, Saturdays and Halloween $31; RIP Admission Sun-Fri $40, Saturdays and Halloween $45
    • Offers three attractions: The Manor, Asylum '67, Chromophobia
