Gospel Fest Set For Feb. 4 In Canton
The annual celebration of Black History Month will be held at the Cherokee Arts Center in downtown Canton.

CANTON, GA -- Organizers are putting the call out for singers to take part in the seventh annual Gospel Fest.
This year's celebration of Black History Month will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Cherokee Arts Center in downtown Canton.
Gospel Fest VII will continue its tradition of showcasing a diverse group of talent featuring a mass choir, praise and dance teams and soloist performances.

Anyone who has participated in the last six Gospel Fest events is encouraged to come and join the mass choir for this year's performance.
Organizers are also seek new voices to add to the mass choir. Upcoming rehearsal sessions are scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, Thursday, Jan. 26 and Monday, Jan. 30; and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2.

Admission to Gospel Fest VII is free of charge, and everyone is invited to witness this joyous occasion to celebrate Black History Month. This year’s celebration will be held in partnership with the Cherokee County Arts Council and is also being sponsored by Mrs. Kipling L. McVay-Stubbs and Mr. Lanier Shelnutt.
Sponsors are welcomed and appreciated. The Rev. Fred Forsh will again be coordinating the music and the musicians for the choir.
The Cherokee Arts Center is located at 94 North Street.
