Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?

Grisham & Poole: Ross began his defense attorney career in 2004. Using his experience as a prosecutor, he established himself as a premier attorney in the North Georgia area. In 2013, Scott, utilizing his decade of experience being a prosecutor, teamed up with Ross to form Grisham & Poole, PC. Together as a team, Ross and Scott developed a niche in the criminal defense field in counties throughout North Georgia for providing top tier representation for their clients. In 2017, Ross and Scott teamed up with experienced attorney Ashley Carlile to lead the Family Law Division of Grisham & Poole, PC. The office now includes four attorneys, two paralegals, one legal assistant, one investigator and a firm office manager.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Grisham & Poole: Ross and Scott both chose to be attorneys to provide assistance to those in a time of need. Being distinguished members of the community is a main focus of our business. We are happy to live in the community that we serve.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

Grisham & Poole: Personable, experienced, professional, dedicated and effective

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?

Grisham & Poole: In 2017, Ross and Scott took a huge leap of faith to expand into the Family Law arena. There were risks, but choosing Ashley Carlile to head our Family Law Division was one of the best decisions that we have made. The team at Grisham & Poole, PC is well-versed in handling the toughest and most difficult cases whether it is a DUI, possession of a controlled substance, domestic violence situation, divorce or custody battle.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Grisham & Poole: The most satisfying part of our job as attorneys is knowing that we worked as a team to achieve the best possible outcome for our client. Some cases require a few hours worth of work compared to other cases that take years worth of research and battling in and out of court. No matter how long a case takes, knowing that we provide our client the highest level of service is the most important aspect of our job.

Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about?

Grisham & Poole: In late 2017, renovations were completed on a historic house just off the square in downtown Canton, and used as the primary office location for Grisham & Poole, PC. Located at 577 East Main St, Canton, GA 30114, the historic house (now office) can be seen by hundreds of people accessing historic downtown Canton daily.
