The Ball Ground Historical Society will hold a meeting on Tuesday, June 27.

From the Ball Ground Historical Society: The next meeting of the Ball Ground Historical Society will be held on Tuesday, June 27th at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers at Ball Ground City Hall, located at 215 Valley Street in Ball Ground.

The speakers for this meeting, a local mother and daughter team, have personal ties with the Historic Pascoe House, as well as in depth knowledge of the history and contribution of the Franklin Gold Mine to the local area. Topics covered in the presentation will include portions of the history of the Franklin mine as well as the history and anecedotal stories of life at the Pascoe House during the presenter's experience living there.

Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Membership in the Ball Ground Historical Society is open to all who cherish history in Cherokee County and the surrounding area. We hope many will mark their calendars and join us for this interesting and informative look back at this part of our local history… It will undoubtedly alter your perspective of the landscape on future travels through this historic area.
