Hurricane Delta: What Gulf Storm Will Mean For GA Weekend Weather
Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall is possible across north and central Georgia this weekend as remnants of Hurricane Delta pass through.

GEORGIA — Much of north and central Georgia could see heavy rainfall and thunderstorms this weekend as the remnants of Hurricane Delta pass by.
A hazardous weather outlook was issued Friday for portions of north and central Georgia due to the chance of isolated thunderstorms on Friday. The primary hazards will be heavy rainfall and lightning.
For the rest of the weekend, the National Weather Service said more thunderstorms and heavy rainfall will be possible across north and central Georgia Saturday and Sunday as the remnants of Hurricane Delta move by the area.

Isolated flooding and flash flooding will be possible, especially across northeastern Georgia where the heaviest rainfall is currently forecast to occur, the National Weather Service said.
As of Friday morning, Hurricane Delta is expected to bring hurricane conditions and a life-threatening storm surge to portions of the Gulf Coast later today, specifically southwest Louisiana and southeast Texas.

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Friday night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely after 11 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 65. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Saturday
Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 11 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday night
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
Sunday
Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
Sunday night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
