I-575 In Cherokee Reopened After Closed From Overturned Truck

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — I-575 northbound and southbound are back open after it was shut down this afternoon at the Lower Bethany Rd bridge due to an overturned tractor trailer hauling logs on the bridge above the interstate, according to Renee Cornelison, director of the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency.

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is advised drivers to avoid the area for a little over an hour.
