CANTON, GA — Vice President Mike Pence visited Canton Friday afternoon for his "Defend the Majority" tour. He was joined by Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, along with Georgia Public Service Commissioner Lauren "Bubba" McDonald Jr.
Pence visited Canton and later Gainesville on Friday, campaigning for Perdue and Loeffler who are facing runoffs for their seats in the Jan. 5 election. While Pence did not acknowledge Trump's defeat in the Nov. 3 election, he did heavily stress the importance of voting in the runoffs as what could be "the last line of defense for all that's been done to defend the nation."
"I'm here because I stand with Senators Perdue and Loeffler," Pence said Friday. "No matter the outcome, we will never stop fighting to make America great again. That's why Georgia, and America, need David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler back in a Republican majority in the United States Senate. For all we've done together, and all we've yet to do, we need the great state of Georgia to defend the majority. The road of a Senate Republican majority goes straight through the state of Georgia."

The stakes in the upcoming runoffs have never been higher, Pence said.
"Here in Georgia, I got to tell you, the choice has never been clearer," he said. "Where David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler stand for a strong national defense, Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff will join Democrats in cutting our national defense to fund their big government programs."

Pence had a message for Democrats: "we're going to keep Georgia and save America."
"Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are wrong for Georgia and wrong for America," he said. "We need you to stay in the fight for integrity in this election. We need the people of Georgia to stay in the fight to defend the majority. Stay in the fight until we send David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler back to a Republican majority in the United States Senate. Let's show the world what Georgia is all about."
