More Winter Or Early Spring: What GA Groundhog Predicted
GA's groundhog, Gen. Beauregard Lee, has made his prediction for the next six weeks on whether we will see more winter or an early spring.

GEORGIA — Two of America's most famous groundhogs could not agree Sunday on what the next six weeks of weather will look like.
Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania did not see his shadow, indicating that spring will come early, according to groundhog lore. Phil has seen his shadow 105 times and did not see his shadow 19 times. The other years have not been accounted for, according to the club that handles Phil's predictions.
He's America's most famous rodent, and he emerged from his burrow to make the annual Groundhog Day prediction.

As most people know, the stakes are extremely high when Phil makes his prediction. Legend has it if the furry forecaster sees his shadow, winter continues for six more weeks; if he doesn't see his shadow, spring arrives early.
But Georgia's Gen. Beauregard Lee saw his own shadow, indicating from tradition that we will have six more weeks of winter.
