New Speed Limit Signs Installed Along I-575

The signs will be installed on I-575 stretching from the Cobb-Cherokee county line to the Riverstone Parkway exit.

CANTON, GA — Georgia Department of Transportation crews are updating the speed limit signs along I-575 in Cherokee County this week. The signs will reflect the new speed limit of 70 mph.

The signs will be installed on I-575 stretching from the Cobb-Cherokee county line to the Riverstone Parkway exit. Last month, the GDOT announced the decision to raise the speed limit from 65 to 70 mph along I-575 from the I-75 split to the city of Canton. The increase will match the current speed limit of I-575 from Canton to the Cherokee-Pickens county line.

Motorists should be alert and watch for road crews in the area throughout the week as they complete their work installing the updated signs.
