Northside Cherokee Welcomes First Baby Of 2019

Declan Douglas Fuller was born at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1.

CANTON, GA — Northside Hospital-Cherokee is celebrating the arrival of the first baby born at its facility in 2019.

Canton residents Kelly and Chase Fuller delivered their first child, Declan Douglas Fuller, at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1. Declan weighed 8 pounds and 8 ounces. The mother, who was due Dec. 22, said,"it is pretty cool to have the first baby."

"I didn’t think we would make it to 2019," she added.

Declan's father added it's exciting for his baby boy's birthday to be on New Year's Day.

"That will always be easy to remember," Chase Fuller said, referring to Declan's 1 a.m. arrival on Jan. 1.
