Panera Bread To Cut Ribbon In Canton Wednesday

The new Panera Bread bakery-cafe opened its doors Monday morning in downtown Canton.

CANTON, GA — A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the new Panera Bread restaurant in downtown Canton. The bakery-cafe opened its doors Monday morning at 205 West Main St.

Panera touts itself as being committed to quick yet quality food options. The company began by baking fresh bread from fresh dough each day, according to a Panera Bread statement. That commitment led to others, like the decision to remove artificial trans-fats, post calories on menu boards and invest in serving chicken raised without antibiotics.

The new Panera Bread in Canton is in the former location of the Cherokee County Board of Education's central offices. The Cherokee County School District has moved to the Dr. Frank R. Petruzielo Educational Services Facility on Bluffs Parkway.
