Plant Sales Ongoing This Weekend At Cherokee High Schools
Cherokee County School District's high school agriculture Career Pathway classes cultivate the plants and then sell them to the community.

CANTON, GA -- Spring is upon us so it's time to get outside and start planting in gardens. Thankfully there are many chances this weekend to stock up during local plant sales.
Etowah High School’s plant sale is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12 at the school, 6565 Putnam Ford Road, Woodstock. Cherokee High School’s plant sale is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 18 and 19 and 9 a.m. to noon April 20 at the school, 930 Marietta Highway, Canton.
Prices start at $1 a pot; full lists of plants and prices are posted at www.cherokeek12.net.

The Cherokee County School District's high school agriculture Career Pathway classes and extra-curricular programs offer students hands-on learning opportunities including cultivating plants. Once those plants are ready to leave the greenhouse, students sell them as a fundraiser, giving the community another way to support career education.
