Ridge Road To Close Aug. 13 At Bells Ferry Road

CANTON, GA — Another road closure will soon go into effect around the Canton area. Cherokee County has announced that Ridge Road will close next week to through traffic as part of an intersection improvement project.

Ridge Road will be closed between Sixes Road and Bells Ferry Road from Aug. 13 through Aug. 24 for the county's Bells Ferry Road at Ridge Road Intersection Improvement project.

A posted detour utilizing Sixes and Bells Ferry roads will be provided during the duration of the construction. Access to Sixes Elementary School will be made from the Sixes Road end of Ridge Road, the county noted.

"Cherokee County appreciates the public’s patience during the detour period and requests that motorists obey the detour for their safety as well as for the safety of all contractors’ personnel," the county said Tuesday.
