Riverfest Arts & Crafts Festival Set For Sept. 23-24
The 33rd annual event will be held at a new location, Etowah River Park in Canton.
CANTON, GA -- Organizers behind the Service League of Cherokee County's largest annual event are putting the final touches on the Riverfest Arts and Crafts Festival. The 33rd annual celebration will be held Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24 at Etowah River Park in Canton.
Riverfest is a juried show, and features creative, handmade work from artists all over the region and showcases extraordinary entertainment -- live music and dancing -- throughout the weekend. Also included is a fun-filled children's area where youngsters can participate in a number of rides and activities.
The festival, which benefits less fortunate children of Cherokee County, will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday along the banks of the Etowah River. For many families, Riverfest is a not-to-be-missed event that kicks off the fall season.

This year’s festival features more than 200 arts and crafts exhibitors, concessionaires and entertainers, including many returning favorites as well as several new and exciting exhibitors and features. Select recipes from The League’s latest cookbook, "Gatherings & Traditions," will be offered to patrons for tasting, and cookbooks will be available for purchase.
The Service League of Cherokee County is one of the oldest service organizations in the county, with a
membership of 100 women who work year-round, collectively volunteering more than 10,000 hours per year

Funds raised during Riverfest, and other fundraising events sponsored by the League, provide families with day-to-day necessities such as food, clothing, dental care, eyeglasses, medical care. rental and utiliy assistance, scholarships and much more. Admission to Riverfest for adults and children 11 and older is a $5 donation, and the event will take place rain or shine. Free parking and shuttle services are available for residents who park at Hasty Elementary School and other businesses along Brown Industrial Parkway.
