What's Open, Closed On Thanksgiving In Canton

CANTON, GA — Most services will be closed on Thanksgiving, but Canton residents should also be aware of closures on surrounding days like Black Friday.

Here's a look at some of what will be open and what will be closed in Canton on and around Thursday, Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 29 (Black Friday):

• Cherokee County government will be closed Thursday and Friday
• Cherokee County Schools are off this week from Nov. 25-29, all offices are closed.
• Municipal offices for Canton will be closed Thursday and Friday.
• Senior Services will be closed Thursday and Friday.
• All Sequoyah Regional Library System branches will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, and remain closed Thursday and Friday.
• Garbage pick up will have a one day delay in service in Canton.
• This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Friday, Nov. 29.
• All banks are closed on Thanksgiving and will resume normal business hours Friday, Nov. 29.
• Publix: All stores and pharmacies will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and will resume regular hours on Black Friday.
• Kroger: All stores are open regular hours on Thanksgiving Day, but pharmacies are closed. Both will be open on Friday.
